Audio engineering has optimized the E 12MB for high level mid bass response between
125Hz and 2000Hz. The E 12MB is a 12 inch (305mm) diameter professional transducer
designed for use as a mid bass driver in either direct radiator or horn loaded applications.
The large format 4 inch (101.6mm) diameter voice coil design features high conductivity
copper conductors and a very high thermal capacity adhesive system.
The E 12MB features a rigid stamped steel chassis and, in combination with the large
format Ferrite based permanent magnetic system, will generate very high sound pressure
level mid bass and mid range acoustic output.
The E 12MB is a highly optimized transducer design. The design features a newly
developed cone material that improves internal damping and results in superior time
domain performance in the critical vocal range. If full range response is required the E
12LF should be specified. If high level mid bass response is required then the E 12MB is
the ideal choice based on the elevated mid band efficiency. The E 12MB voice coil
design is also optimized for use in the mid band range of 125Hz to 2000Hz.
