SN-18LF

The SN Series II transducers represent a unique combination of extremely high performance and high value. The SN-18LF utilizes a medium format 3 inch (76.2mm) diameter voice coil coupled to a computer optimized Neodymium based permanent magnet system. This voice coil and magnet structure combination insures very high conversion efficiency and an excellent performance to value ratio. The SN-18LF is an 18 inch (460mm) diameter low frequency design that has a rated bandwidth of 40Hz to 125Hz. This bandwidth provides an optimum combination of low frequency response and efficiency. It is common in professional touring and fixed installation systems to filter low frequency material below 35Hz to limit sub sonic material. The SN-18LF takes advantage of this technique and has been designed to offer maximum impact low frequency output in its rated bandwidth.

The SN-18LF features an aluminum rectangular geometry voice coil and very high thermal capacity to insure high power handling and high reliability. The combination of a light weight but very high energy product Neodymium magnet structure and a die cast aluminum chassis produce a very light weight design. The SN-18LF is well suited for medium format touring systems and excellent for fixed installation designs, particularly when the systems must be suspended. The light weight design makes the SN-18LF ideal for portable systems as well as for flown/suspended systems. The SN-18LF is an excellent choice for bass and sub woofer designs.
